Friday evening’s registration and informal gathering will be at the Laura Ingalls Wilder headquarters 3 blocks east of the library, with hors d’ouevres from 6-8 pm. Guides will be available from 3 0’clock to show you other Dunn originals and the Dunn school.
Saturday’s paint out will be at the Homestead, 1 mile SE of town, with wine and cheese and good food that evening. Sunday’s wet sale there will include awarding first and second People’s Choice awards of $125 and $75.
Pete Kilian, NSU professor, will offer a workshop for interested artists Saturday, mm.

PALISADES STATE PARK PLEIN AIR EVENT- MAY 22, 2010. Garretson, SD.
The event will be all day Saturday with a potluck at 6:30 in the picnic shelter at the entrance.
Please respond if you are interested to Djlow@siouxvalley.net so we can get a head count. There will be around a $1 charge or less depending on the number of participants to cover the shelter reservation which is reserved for the entire day if you care to setup there.
For the potluck bring a dish to pass or something for the grill, plates, utensils, napkins, drink and a chair if you don’t want to sit at the picnic tables.
Bring your artwork and we will have an impromptu show. This is the free weekend for the park so we can also do a wet and dry sell during the show.
Final call for the 2nd Annual Historic Madison Ranch Paint Out/Quick Draw to be held Sunday July 25th in conjunction with the "Day of the American Cowboy". Free luncheon served to the artists at 12:00 noon. Plein Aire begins at 1:00, 4:00-5:00 is the Quick Draw followed by an auction at 5:15. SILVER CITY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT'S SECOND PLEIN AIR PAINT OUT…
An invitation from SDAN member Jan Sohl, “.....It is on!!! July 8-11 in the Silver City area of the Black Hills. Last year they sold about $3300 worth of art from $25 to $600 and raised close to $900 for the SCVFD. They charge a 20% commission on all work sold. This event is in combination with the SCVFD's annual ice cream and pie social, the major fund-raiser for the organization.

The committee would like to host the event the same weekend as Neutrino Day, (July 12) which is sponsored by the Sanford Underground Laboratory.
