"Angelfish" was inspired by late afternoon clouds in August 2007, a few blocks from my home. Are these clouds swimming underwater?

Cloud Birth

"Cloud Birth" shows the sun peeking through a large cloud - from photos taken a few days later. The edge of cloud seems to be breathing new clouds up into the atmosphere.  

Power and Glory

"Power and Glory" was created from photographs of a July 2004 storm over Lake Kampeska, near Watertown, SD, by my friend, photographer Paul Knudsen. The approaching storm doubled in size as Paul waited on shore.

Returning to Paradise

"Returning to Paradise" is part of a small series on a storm over Aberdeen on June 23, 2006. These clouds put on a fabulous display at sunset, showing all colors of the spectrum over about 40 minutes.
