The Purple Coneflower grows in the meadows near my home. Used and respected by Native Americans and Europeans for centuries as a healing agent.

Blue Flax blooms with the morning sun and by night fall, the blossoms have dropped. New blossoms are back the next morning.

The Pasque flower is South Dakota's State Flower. It is one of the first in the Spring and blossoms in the dry winter grass before the new green grass grows.
