This highly textured wall platter does have a slight ring of red around the rim. There are some hints of color from behind the large crackles of white on black the black background. This platter has been submitted to the State Capitol Art purchase project, so I won't know until mid May whether it's still available.

Big Blue Buffalo

Big blue was a 3 month project of making lots (did I say lots?)of little buffalo tile and creating a design! After this project, I'll never do another jig saw puzzle!


Each hand made tile was glazed with 4 brushed on coats and then fired on individual stilts.
